bonita lee penn,
is a gifted poet and fiction writer. She is well known for her metaphorical erotic poetry, which she describes as colorful
celebrations of fleeting love. While others who have attended her readings have commented, "She writes what other
people are afraid to admit." Bonita lives and breathes the writers' universe, by
never being afraid to step outside of her own personal writing style to explore and embrace other poetic formats. She
is a followerof the Eintou, an original African-American syllabic poetic format similar to the traditional Japanese Haiku.
The Eintou was introduced to her by its creator Akintiunde Kofi Camara, while she was a member of the DeGriot Writers
